Dining Room Makeover With Lulu & Georgia

February 21, 2017 2 Comments

The last time I worked with Lulu & Georgia on my living room, I had so much fun that I couldn’t wait to work with them on my dining room! I’ve been in love with Lulu & Georgia for years, so I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to decorate my new place and channel all the knowledge I picked up from watching HGTV (haha!)

I recently moved from a smaller space to a home that’s big enough for Kins to have her own big-girl room, even though Kins and Char end up sleeping in my bed anyway (my fave thing ever!) Our home has amazing high ceilings, bright white walls and a ton of natural lighting. I love the openness and airiness of everything, so when designing my space with Lulu & Georgia, I knew I wanted to incorporate southern California, boho vibes. An all-girl house meant nothing but girly-girl elements too!

When choosing the main pieces, practicality was the main concern. I wish my house looked like this 100% of the time, but all the mamas out there know that it’s just impossible! We came to a happy medium with a rug and table that are both easy to clean. My favorite part of this whole set is probably the dining chairs. I’m so into the rattan trend!

After finding the main pieces of the dining room, I knew I had to tackle the walls. They were initially so plain! I have super high ceilings, so a chandelier wasn’t an option either. When the girls at L&G asked me to take a look at these prints, I knew I wanted this, this and this one. The beachy prints were exactly what the space needed!

Last but not least, I needed to fill the place up with accessories and tabletop items. This vase was so unique and I loved how fun these polka-dot gold cups and pitcher were. My favorite, favorite, favorite of all time was this marble tray though. So cute!

I’m working on our home little by little and can’t wait to show you guys more! If you guys want to see everything from my dining room, you can shop it here. ?

P.S. I know a lot of you guys asked about this top. It’s originally from Free People, but it’s sold out. I love this, this and this one though! Especially this one.
