When I think of my 5 “must have” clothing items for Spring. The very first one that comes to mind is a perfect pair of denim cut off shorts! I’ve tried over 50 pairs of denim shorts (crazy, I know) and chose my 3 favorites to share with you!

My favorite high waisted denim cut off’s are the Lovers & Friends “Jack” Shorts. Your struggle to find the perfect pair of high waisted denim shorts ends here! Personally, these shorts are great because I love to wear crop tops, but also don’t like to expose too much midriff. These rise to right below belly button but still manage to be extremely figure flattering. I literally wear these almost everyday in the spring and summer. (I had to buy three pairs.)  I wore them a ton on The Bachelor and Lauren B and Jojo both borrowed them on their first one on one dates with Ben, as well. These shorts go with everything and are worth the splurge of $138. You’ll definitely get use of them!

Another great pair of denim shorts, are the popular One Teaspoon bandits! These shorts are very low rise and pair perfectly with graphic tees or an off the shoulder blouse! They run big so I recommend sizing down. You can purchase these from many retailers (Revolve, Planet Blue) but I’ll let you in on a little secret. You can get these at one of my favorite boutiques, Meraki Moon. If you check her Instagram, @shopmerakimoon, she usually is always running some sort of promo code for a discount…you’re welcome!

I was recently connected with the sweetest girl, Chloe Carter. She started her own business, “Downright Denim”, where she makes custom Vintage denim cut off’s and they are AMAZING! (I am a sucker for anything vintage and high waisted) Not only are they adorable, but also very affordable! And everyone who knows me knows I love to support handmade small shops. Anyone else going to Stagecoach this year?! This is your place for denim shorts! I know what I’m wearing??

For shoes, pair them with booties or chunky pumps right now, and come spring, sneakers or sandals are ideal options.
